Escaping the confines of Hunter’s bedroom, these twelve songs are the result of teenage angst raised on Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, and Beck. From overly distorted alternative rock to fingerpicked acoustic ballads, Nobody Like(s) Him is Hunter Hopewell’s debut album, which bares a double meaning. Nobody Likes Him becomes Nobody Like Him with the wave of a brush.

With help and guidance from his parents and rock and hip hop artists, Brody Dolyniuk and Jeff Johnson, Hunter recorded and mixed this album in his room, initially with little to no idea what he was doing. After months of trial and error, he was happy to complete a dozen songs, which were mainly written and recorded on sleepless nights at 3am.
Playing guitar for eight years and piano for ten, Hunter plays every live instrument heard on this album, with the exception of drum samples. Listeners have compared Hunter's sound to Beck, which can be heard most on tracks like Amazon and Shark in the Reef. People have also equated the title track, Nobody Likes Me, to the Myspace days of Never Shout Never. The rest of the album lies somewhere in between. Now, instead of just jamming these tunes with his lifelong drummer dad in their music room, Hunter's excited to share his quirky, almost childlike rock style with you.
